You will be defaulted to Chief Complaint. Notice the SOAP on the left hand side. That is the breakdown of the note.
However, we will go to Grand Central to import a blueprint.
Grand Central is where we go to import Blueprints (templates) for new patients, or import Prior Encounters for return patients. You can also import specific histories from the patient's previous visits.
Select ENT to locate a blueprint for a sore throat
Here are blueprints for ENT. These are typically built using a test patient during training and come from the creation of previous notes. Select the blueprint for "sore throat pharynx" and import it.
Now that you have imported the blueprint go to Physical Exam.
Here is a Physical Exam that was imported off of that blueprint. Notice that the negative findings are black and the positives stand out in red. You are able to make changes to this through tapping, free text or dictation. You can also use the camera of an iPad to take images and mark them up.
Medidraw allows you to capture images, make comments and draw on them.
Now that we have done our physical exam and have a pre-loaded ICD-10 code from our blueprint we can go to the plan and perfrom a Strep test.
Here we will do an office test for strep test (can also be sent out via lab interface). Keep in mind you can also create custom panels for commonly used orders. Notice the code 87880, that will automatically carry over into the coding of the note.
Once confirmed that the patient has strep, we can now prescribe medication.
You can do a med import through patient's PBM.
You can also check their PDMP report from your state's website.
Re-prescribing medication is simple. Select the box for amoxicillin and tap ePrescribe.
From here confirm the pharmacy on the lower right.
We also have an integration with Cover My Meds to let you know if a Prior Authorization is needed.
Select sign/transmit and it will be sent to the pharmacy.
The patient has been prescribed medication so the final step is to code for the vist.
The system is compliant with the 2021 E/M Coding. Let’s rate this visit as a 99213.
You will see the system is recommending a 99213.
Now that the coding is complete it needs to be sent to the billing side. Select Generate PM Billing which will create a user hold claim for the biller to review.
